Overview
Khazanty (“we”, “us”), operated by Yousef Qutaiba Abu Hamra & Partners Company General Partnership, Kitim Street, Jordan, operates the Khazanty marketplace app and website, connecting shoppers with independent clothing vendors in Jordan. Khazanty is an online shopping platform, not a clothing company — each order is fulfilled by the store you buy from (see our Terms of Service). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, and phone number, collected when you register.
- Delivery addresses — recipient name, phone, city, area, street, and building, plus an optional precise map location if you choose to pin your address on the map.
- Orders — the products, sizes, colours, quantities, and prices of your purchases.
- Photos — images you submit to visual search, photos you attach to a chat, and product photos uploaded by stores. Photos are used only to provide these features.
- Messages and reviews — chats between buyers and stores, support tickets and return requests you open, and product reviews you write (reviews are public).
- AI assistant data — what you type to the AI Style Assistant, the photos you send it, and the short preference notes it saves from those conversations, together with any sizes, colours, brands, or budget you enter yourself. See AI features.
- Diagnostics — when the app crashes or hits an error we collect a technical report: the error itself, your device model, operating-system version, and app version, plus your account identifier if you are signed in.
- Device data — a push-notification token if you grant notification permission, and your chosen language, theme, and city.
We do not collect or store payment card details of any kind — see “Payments” below.
How we use it
We use this data solely to operate the marketplace: creating and delivering your orders, letting stores fulfil them, powering search (including the AI Style Assistant's photo and text search and the preferences it remembers), sending order notifications and confirmation emails, keeping the app working by diagnosing crashes and errors, and providing customer support. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who sees it
- Stores (vendors) you order from see the delivery details for that order.
- Delivery captains assigned to your order see the delivery address and contact phone.
- Our own team — support and operations staff can see your account, orders, support tickets, and return requests in order to run the marketplace.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of specialist companies to run the app. Each receives only what it needs for its own function, and only to provide that service to us — none of them may use your data for their own advertising, and we do not sell your data to anyone. They are listed below by the role they perform; if you would like the current list of providers by name, email support@khazanty.com and we will send it to you.
- Hosting and database — our database, user accounts and sign-in, and realtime chat. Holds account details, addresses, orders, messages, reviews, and AI preference notes. Hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt).
- Image storage and content delivery — store and deliver product photos, store logos and banners, category images, and chat attachments.
- AI provider — powers the AI features. The text you type to the AI Style Assistant and any photo you submit to visual search are sent to this provider to generate a result, as are product photos uploaded by stores when they use AI tagging or AI-assisted descriptions. See AI features.
- Google Maps (Android) and Apple Maps (iOS) — display the map and let you pin a delivery location. Map requests, including the map area you view, go to the map provider.
- Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple — only if you choose to sign in that way; we receive the name and email address the provider gives us to create your account.
- Error monitoring — crash and error reporting. Receives the diagnostic report described above, including your account identifier when you are signed in. It is configured not to receive your name, email address, phone number, or the bodies of your network requests.
- Email delivery — sends our emails (sign-up verification codes, order confirmations). Receives your email address and the contents of that email, such as your order summary.
- Push notifications — a push-notification service, and through it Apple and Google's push networks, deliver order and message notifications. They receive your device's push token and the text of the notification.
- Our operations workspace — the third-party team-chat product our operations staff work in. The app posts an alert there when an order is placed or cancelled, a return or support ticket is opened, or an account is created, so someone can act on it. An alert identifies the order, ticket, or request; where it has to be actionable straight away — dispatching a cash-on-delivery order, for example — it may also carry the delivery contact details for that order.
- Card payment gateway— card payment is currently switched off; if it is enabled, your card details are entered on the gateway's own secure page and we never see or store them.
Payments — Cash on Delivery only
Khazanty currently supports Cash on Delivery (COD) only. We do not collect, process, or store any credit/debit card numbers or other card payment data — you pay the delivery captain at your door and no card details are entered anywhere in the app.
Where your data is stored
Our database and files are hosted outside Jordan: the database is in the European Union (Frankfurt), and the service providers listed above may process data in the European Union or the United States. We use them because they provide the infrastructure this app runs on, and we require each of them to handle your data only on our instructions.
AI features
Khazanty uses artificial intelligence in three places, all powered by a third-party AI provider outside Jordan:
- AI Style Assistant & visual search — when you describe what you want, or take/upload a photo to search with, that text or photo is transmitted to that provider and used to find matching products in our catalog. We send only what you submit for that request.
- AI memory & preferences — to give better recommendations, the assistant saves short notes about your style preferences (for example a size, a colour you like, or a brand you mention) from your conversations with it, alongside any sizes, colours, brands, or budget you fill in yourself. This is used only to personalise your results inside Khazanty. You can read every saved note, delete them one by one, or erase all of them at Profile → Settings → AI memory & preferences; deleting your account removes them too.
- AI help for stores — store owners can have AI suggest a product title, description, and tags from a product photo. The photo is sent to the AI provider for that purpose. The store owner reviews and confirms the suggestion before it is published, and the store remains responsible for its listings — so some product titles and descriptions you read in the app were drafted with AI assistance and approved by the store.
AI results are suggestions, not advice, and can be wrong. We do not use AI to make any decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
Guest checkout & anonymous accounts
You can browse and check out as a guest without registering. Guest sessions use our hosting provider's anonymous authentication, which assigns a temporary account to your device/browser so your cart and order can be created. If you later create a full account with the same session active, that anonymous account is upgraded in place into your permanent account — your cart and order history carry over rather than being lost.
Cookies & local storage
We use browser cookies and local storage to keep you signed in (session tokens) and to remember your cart between visits. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Deleting some of your data, without deleting your account
You do not have to close your Khazanty account to remove data from it. Each of the following can be deleted on its own, from inside the app, and takes effect immediately:
- AI memories and style preferences — read every note the assistant has saved, delete them one at a time, or erase all of them at once: Profile → Settings → AI memory & preferences
- Saved delivery addresses — add, edit, or delete any of them: Profile → Addresses
- Favourites — remove any saved item from your favourites list at any time
- Your name, phone, and default city — edit or clear these from Profile → Settings
- Push notifications — turn them off in your device settings; we delete the stored token for that device
Deleting any of the above is permanent and we keep no copy of it. Your account, order history, and the records described under Deleting your account are unaffected and stay as they are.
If you would rather we did it for you, or you want a copy of your data first, email support@khazanty.com and say what you would like removed.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and personal data at any time, directly in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account, then type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes your profile, addresses, favourites, messages, AI preference notes, and push tokens. Records of completed orders may be retained where required for accounting and legal obligations, no longer associated with an active account.
You can also request deletion, or a copy of your data, by emailing support@khazanty.com.
Children
Khazanty is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
